An ode to Kindred of Ireland

One thing about Ireland that I think pretty much everyone loves, is the production of beautiful things created by small businesses.
Let's talk about the homegrown brand, Kindred of Ireland.
I was kindly invited down to visit their new store, that takes pride of place within Belfast's much adored Cathedral Quarter. The new premises is situated at 52 Hill Street and I couldn't think of a location better suited for this brand.
Behind the Brand

I was introduced to the lovely lady behind Kindred, Amy Anderson and her partner Joel. She was sporting her brand of course, and looked absolutely beautiful in her check co-ordinate. The founding focus of Kindred of Ireland, is all about Irish Linen and their website notes that 'she (Amy) has long been enthralled by the craft and skill involved in producing linen' from hearing stories from her grandparents. Amy has concentrated on the sustainability elements, alongside the strength and the other wondrous properties of Linen.
My Time at 52 Hill St
From the moment you walk in the doors of this fresh premises, there is absolutely a sense of luxury in the air as well as the most welcoming and homely vibes. The walls and rails are decorated with the current collection of Kindred, but not in an overwhelming sense. They are perfectly placed for viewing.

A piece that captured my attention straight away was their statement Silver Coat. Amy told us a little about the process of how this gorgeous garment is created, showing us a little behind the scenes of the stamping process that comes along with creating this marvellous metallic piece.
One thing that really stood out to me about this brand is the fit and feel of the clothing. I am a lover of all things oversized, and this brand offers inclusivity for all sizes.
I've left a little bit of my heart on 52 Hill Street, in the pockets of that silver coat to be exact.
What you'll find:
If you're lucky enough to be visiting Belfast this holiday season, Kindred of Ireland are hosting a Pop Up with another beautiful, hand-crafted brand on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December, for one weekend only. I would advise that you absolutely call by and try on these dreamy pieces.
I was very kindly gifted a lovely Scrunchie when departing the store, with a beautiful card from the founder. I am delighted to say I own a little piece of kindred, and hope to build on my collection very soon. I wish Amy & Joel and the rest of the Kindred of Ireland team, all the luck in the world (not that they will need it) with their stunning Belfast premises. Lots of love fashionistas,
