New Year, More Chocolate

One colour we've seen become increasingly popular over the last year and beyond is Brown.

Brown’s popularity is set to surge as Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2025, and is considered a 'mellow brown hue' - it's already taking pride of place on the rails of high street stores. From chocolate to caramel shades, it’s redefining neutrals, appearing in wardrobes, home decor and more.


It's the perfect tone for layering or as a bold statement. Brown blends effortlessly with vibrant colours or soft pastels, proving its timeless appeal. Here are my suggestions for bringing it into 2025.


Beauty Favourites

In my opinion, the easiest way to wear a colour of this shade in a simple yet effective way, is by adding it into your makeup routine. Warm up those cheeks with a deeper shade of bronzer or add a little shadow to your eyelids; here's my favourite ways to embrace brown in your beauty products:

Ways I do, and ways I intend on incorporating this shade into my wardrobe, is through wearing outwear and basic pieces such as long sleeved tops. I love the warmth a chocolate coat brings to your complexion, or the pop of brown layered underneath another colour.

It's all in the Accessories

Accessories are subtle ways your can add brown to your look without adding it into your clothing. The easiest ways to work these tones would be through handbags with suede textures, printed footwear and other accessories such as scarves. Of course I had to add a little pop of leopard print!
