Is River Island finally having a much needed revamp?

Ten years ago, if you asked me my favourite fashion stores, of course TOPSHOP and River Island topped the list. I think every girl in 2014 had a soft spot for these high street stores. The fashion was super trendy for the time, and if you had the latest style from the store, you were sure to be envied. 

I’m not sure what happened after this period, or if the C word (COVID-19) had an impact on the design brainstorming and processes - but in my personal opinion, the style plummeted and it entered a little bit of a tacky era (sorry). 

With that being said, River Island still tickles my fancy ten years later and something they almost always do right, is Christmas. Especially as the latest AW 2024 fashion releases are to die for. Here are my 12 pieces I'd happily have in my festive wardrobe:

After a scroll on their very aesthetic website, I'm officially back on the River Island train (choo choo)! In all seriousness though, don't bypass it for your festive style. They have absolutely gorgeous bits this season (mainly what I've featured above).
